European RosettaCon and European Rosetta Workshop 2026

Conference
Date: 28-Oct-2026 to 30-Oct-2026

European RosettaCon is an annual conference held in Europe for individuals interested in computational protein modeling and design. Focused on "Crossing Boundaries with Protein Design" this year, we will gather at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal on October 28 - 30 to discuss:

  • Protein design and structure prediction method development
  • Design of biomaterials, biosensors, and biologics
  • Small-molecule binder and enzyme design
  • High throughput data generation and handling
  • Structural characterization and modelling of proteins
  • AlphaFold, ESMFold2, RFDiffusion, ProteinMPNN, LLMs and much more
  • And more!

To register and see out list of confirmed speakers, please see our website.

General registration is open, but only a few spots remain. Registration will close August 31 or earlier if all spots are filled.

Additionally, each year we organise a satellite workshop - the European Rosetta Workshop. This year we will discuss and try out modern computational protein design using Rosetta and AI-driven tools.

Across five days, participants will work on:

  • Binder and enzyme design
  • Vaccine and immunotherapy applications
  • AI-guided protein engineering workflows

We will cover and apply tools such as:
RFdiffusion 3 | ProteinMPNN | AlphaFold | Boltz | BindCraft

The workshop combines structured tutorials with hands-on design sessions in a collaborative environment. Computational and experimental researchers are equally welcome. Please note that the participation is strictly in-person, online participation is not possible. While the workshop itself is free, we do not provide accommodation and travel support*

Applications close: August 15, 2026
Notification on admission: September 1, 2026

Please note that the application for the workshop is handled separately from the registration to the conference!
