Instruct PartnerThis workshop is aimed at a range of users, from experienced users looking for a refresher to new users looking for an introduction to remote access methodologies. The workshop will cover:
Day one will be a mixture of talks and sessions, with an opportunity to discuss updates to future operations, as well as giving attendees a chance for practical, hands-on, experience of preparing samples for shipment.
Day two will be a combination of talks and an opportunity to see the beamline in action conducting sample exchanges and data collection. There will also be a demonstration of some near future developments on I19 and a visit to one of the MX beamlines.

Applications for the I19 Remote Access Training workshop are now open, and will be closing at the end of Sunday 11th October 2026.
All applicants will be informed of the result of their application, during the week commencing Monday 19th October 2026.
Please note that places on this workshop are limited. In the case of oversubscription there will be a limit on the number of attendees from each organisation. Participants will be selected on a fair distribution basis across the research groups.
Attendance at this workshop is by application only, and places will be allocated following a successful application process.
A registration fee of £70 will be payable upon confirmation of your place.
The registration fee includes 2 days of scientific training, all meals and refreshments, overnight accommodation at The Bear Hotel, Wantage (check-in on Tuesday 17 November and check-out on Wednesday 18 November), and transfers between Diamond and the hotel.
Participants are responsible for arranging and funding their own travel to and from Diamond at the beginning and conclusion of the workshop.
