TR+ Conference: From Statics to Dynamics
Conference
Date: 21-Sep-2026 to 23-Sep-2026
The Time-Resolved Methods for Life Sciences (TR+) matrix at MAX IV in collaboration with the Chemistry of Life theme at LINXS, is delighted to announce the TR+ Conference: From Statics to Dynamics from September 21-23, in Lund, Sweden.
The conference will bring together researchers working to move beyond static snapshots of biomolecules and uncover the dynamic processes that govern their function. This meeting is an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, inspiration, and new collaborations across disciplines.
Confirmed talks:
- Giovanni Volpe, (Dept. of Physics, Gothenburg University) : “How do proteins fold?”
- Przemek Nogly, (DIOSCURI, Jagiellonian University, Krakow): “From static structures to molecular movies: time-resolved serial crystallography of light-sensing receptors.”
- Tiago Cordiero, (ITQB-NOVA University, Lisbon): “Probing Conformational Dynamics in Flexible Macromolecular Assemblies by SAXS.”
- Jens Uhlig, (Chemical Physics, Lund University) : “Time resolved XAS experiments on many temporal scales.”
- Dominik Oberthuer, (Center for Free-Electron Laser Science, DESY): “A snapshot love story: what serial crystallography has done and will do for us"
- Allen M. Orville, (XFEL-Hub at Diamond Light Source): “Metalloenzyme structure & function revealed by leveraging large kinetic isotope effects and time-resolved crystallography & spectroscopy”
- Fatemeh Sabzian Molaei, (Dept. of Chemistry, Umeå University): “Time-resolved X-ray solution scattering: from experimental challenges to interpretation of protein dynamics in solution”
- Torbjörn Nur Olsson, (Dept. of Chem. and Mol. biology, Gothenburg University): “Picosecond time-resolved crystallography captures a terahertz-induced quench-like redistribution of fluctuations in a protein crystal”
We warmly invite you to bring a poster and showcase your research to the conference. To participate, please submit a short abstract via the registration page.
