A full-time, 24-30 months post-doctoral position for a "structural biochemist" with expertise in TEM is available in team “Structural Glycobiology and Neurobiology” of the “Architecture et Fonction des Macromolécules Biologiques (AFMB)” laboratory, Marseille, France. The AFMB lab is about to welcome a state-of-art Glacios 2 TEM 200kV equipped with Selectris X EF and Falcon 4i camera that will be used for the project.
The main scope of the project is to document the binding site, orientation and mode of action of new peptidic effectors of a ligand-gated ionic channel, using TEM and complementary biochemical and biophysical methods.
Reliable experience in expression/purification/biophysical characterisation of soluble/membrane proteins and their complexes and in electron microscopy is mandatory.
