The Philipps University of Marburg and the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology have recently established the center for Synthetic Microbiology, SYNMIKRO (www.synmikro.com). Supported by the state of Hessen within its excellence program LOEWE, the more than 30 research groups in SYNMIKRO focus on basic aspects of synthetic biology on all levels of microbial function, ranging from the development of regulatory circuits, genetic codes, and metabolic pathways to the synthesis of new minimal cells and microbial communities. To strengthen its activities in structural biology, SYNMIKRO seeks a:
Scientist / Protein Crystallographer
